Professional Experience
After graduation from law school, Robert began his practice as an attorney for the Gas Proration Dept. at El Paso Natural Gas Company where he was responsible for negotiating and formalizing gas purchase, exchange and gathering contracts, and after three years moved into the office of General Counsel where he was responsible for building leases, water pollution control, and presentations to state agencies, preceding his entry into private practice in El Paso in 1968, where he has continually been engaged in a varied general practice consisting of family law (divorce, support, child custody, and adoption), probate (wills, estates and guardianships), personal injury and general business litigation, criminal law (felony, misdemeanor and traffic) and a general office practice including real estate contracts and conveyances.

Born in Minden, Louisiana
and lived in Texas City, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, and Austin, Texas
before moving to El Paso in 1963. Honorable Discharge U.S. Navy. Active
in community organizations including President of Citizens Environmental
Council where he gave presentations on recycling to the El Paso City
Council, Past President and Life Member of Country Club Optimist Club
where he was representative for the Boy Scouts and engaged in various
youth activities including oratorical contests, former member of Board
of Directors of El Paso Heart Association and El Paso Jaycees, past
president and speech contest winner at Coronado Toastmasters Club,
at St. Marks United Methodist Church, former: Chair Administration
Board, Chair-Pastor-Parish Committee, Trustees, Wills and Legacies
Committee, Choir Director for several years and Member, Lay Speaker,
Youth Sponsor, representative to Metropolitan Board of Missions and
lay delegate to New Mexico annual conference where he gave presentations
to assembled delegates, pro bono attorney to legal aid society.
His wife Kathryn Brennan is a school psychologist in the Gadsden, New Mexico
School District, and he has four children and two grandchildren.
